not more useful than one

　　no more than;not more than;no more...than;not more...than

　　no more than 相當于只，只only。與數字連用時，意思是只有最多，強調少，帶有說話者的情感色彩。

　　I am no more than a teacher.我只是個老師。

　　There were no more than two hospitals in this city before liberation.解放前，這個城市只有兩家醫院（很少）

　　not more than 后面的接數詞表示不超過，最多。用來說明情況，含有少的含義，沒有說話者的主觀色彩。

　　There are not more than ten minutes left.最多只剩下10分鐘了。(表示客觀事實)

　　“no more 原級形容詞(副詞) than意思是兩者同樣不，前后同時否定，帶有情感色彩。

　　This tool is no more useful than that one.

　　這個工具和那個工具一樣無用。(兩者都沒用)

　　“not more 原級形容詞(副詞) than”意為“A不比B更……。這是比較級的正式用法，表示比較事實，兩者都是肯定的。

　　This tool is not more useful than one.這個工具不如那個工具有用。(兩者都有用)
