(1) 注意聽。例如：

Attend now to what I tell you. 現在注意聽我告訴你。

If you don’t attend to your teacher, you’ll never learn anything. 如果你不注意聽老師的話，你什么也學不到。

(2) 處理；處理。如：

I’ll attend to the matter. 我來處理這件事。

I may be late --- I have one or two things to attend to. 我可能會遲到，我還有一兩件事要處理。

(3) 照顧；照顧。如：

If you go out, who will attend to the baby? 如果你出去，誰來照顧寶寶？

(4) 接待；接待。如：

Are you being attended to, sir? 先生， 有人問候你嗎？

I’m too busy. I can’t attend to you now. 我很忙，現在不能接待你了。

(5) 集中注意力；關心。如：

You must attend to your work. 你必須集中精力工作。

Parents must attend to the education of their children. 父母必須關心孩子的教育。

(6) 治療；治療。如：

His injury was attended to by a young doctor. 一位年輕的醫生治療了他的傷。
