Go ahead of us in English

一、ahead of

(1) 表示時間或空間，意思是：在…之前。例如：

He left one day ahead of me. 他比我早走了一天。

A new life lay ahead of him. 新的生活展現在他面前。

(2) 在表達能力、水平、地位或先進性等方面，意思是：比…強或高（主要用作表語）。例如：

He’s ahead of us in English. 他的英語比我們強。

He is two classes ahead of me. 他比我高兩班。

(3) 用于 ahead of time (schedule)，意思是：提前，提前。例如：

To my surprise he came ahead of time. 令我驚訝的是，他提前來了。

The work was done ahead of schedule. 工作提前完成。

二、go ahead

(1) 表示同意或允許，意為：說吧，做吧。例如：

A：Can I borrow your dictionary? 你能用你的詞典嗎？

B：Yes, go ahead. 可以。

A：Do you mind my smoking here? 我可以在這里抽煙嗎？

B：No, go ahead. 沒關系，你抽吧。

(2) 表示繼續做某事，意思是：繼續……。例如：

Go ahead, we are all listening. 繼續說吧，我們都在聽！

Go ahead, what happened next? 說吧，下一步該怎么辦？
