大學英語四級快速閱讀技巧

　　四級快速閱讀

　　快速閱讀要求考生在15分鐘內完成1200字左右的文章和以下10道題，突破四級快速閱讀的四大技巧。前七個問題是正確和錯誤的判斷(包括NOT GIVEN)，最后三個是填空題(答案基本上是原文中的原詞)。從文章的長度和主題的設置來看，考生必須有意識地培養復習階段的快速閱讀能力，以有效地處理這部分的測試。

　　在快速閱讀中使用邏輯關系

　　有一定的方法可以提高快速閱讀的理解能力。因此，我們首先建議考生特別注意文章邏輯關系在快速閱讀中的應用。邏輯關系分布在文章的句子、句子和段落之間。最基本的邏輯關系如下：

　　1.因果關系:as aresult，therefore，hence，consequently，because,for,due to,hence,consequently等等。

　　并列、遞進關系：and,or,then，in addition，besides，in other words，moreover等等。

　　3.轉折關系:however，but,yet,in fact等等。

　　例如：You have just finished your meal at afast food restaurant and you throw your uneaten food,food wrappers,drink cups,utensils and napkins into the trash can.You don't think about that waste again.On trash pickup day in your neighborhood,you push your can out to the curb,and workers dump the contents into abig truck and haul it away.You don't have to think about that waste again,either.But maybe you have wondered,as you watch the trash truck pull away,just where that garbage ends up。

　　我們注意到這一段的結尾出現了"But"。這里的"But"，說明作者陳述內容的邏輯主題發生了變化，所以轉換邏輯詞前的信息變得不重要。簡單的處理方法是只保留閱讀轉換詞后的信息。

　　相應地，平行和漸進的關系詞意味著它們前后連接的信息沒有改變主題的體現，更多的表現是前后句子主題的相似性，所以我們選擇閱讀的一半。這樣，在保證閱讀質量的基礎上，也大大提高了閱讀速度。

　　注意到"In addition"，這個詞的出現意味著后面的內容與上一段基本相同，可以放棄閱讀這個句子。

　　二、快速閱讀中標點符號的應用

　　標點符號(破折號、小括號、冒號)可以用來理解未知單詞或句子的含義。因為這些標點符號的出現是為了進一步了解以前的信息。但與此同時，由于快速閱讀相對簡單，容易理解和掌握標點符號前的解釋信息，可以刪除標點符號背后的信息，更快地掌握文章的主題，大學英語突破英語四級快速閱讀四項技能。

　　例如：

　　n Dump-an open hole in the ground where trash is buried and that is full of various animals(rats,mice,birds).(This is most people's idea of alandfill!)

　　n Landfill-carefully designed structure built into or on top of the ground in which trash is isolated from the surrounding environment(groundwater,air,rain).This isolation is accomplished with abottom liner and daily covering of soil。

　　Sanitary landfill-land fill that uses aclay liner to isolate the trash from the environment

　　Municipal solid waste(MSW)landfill-landfill that uses asynthetic(plastic)liner to isolate the trash from the environment

　　注意到在"Dump"、"Landfill"之后有一個破折號。如果我們已經明白標點符號的意義在于后面的信息進一步解釋前者，我們可以在理解這些單詞基本含義的基礎上放棄后續信息的閱讀，因為閱讀理解強調對文章主題信息的把握，而不是具體的`細節信息。

　　在快速閱讀中使用特殊信息點

　　所謂"特殊信息點"指文章中容易識別的單詞，如時間、數字、大寫字母等。一方面，這些形式的表達很容易識別，另一方面，這些信息點通常表達文章中的瑣碎信息。對主題的理解和把握只是一個進一步的論證。因此，閱讀這些信息是可以忽略的。如果確實涉及到后面測試的問題，回來仔細閱讀也沒關系。畢竟，它們的表達形式非常有利于搜索和定位判斷。

　　例如：

　　Of the 210million tons of trash,or solid waste,generated in the United States annually,about 56million tons,or 27percent,is either recycled(glass,paper products,plastic,metals)or composted(堆肥)(yard waste)。

　　我們注意到上面的描述充滿了大量的數字詞匯，可以判斷這部分信息是具體的描述，在處理時可以放棄閱讀。

　　四、快速閱讀中搜索的應用

　　閱讀的主要目的是找出文章中的一些特定信息，即在理解文章（即略讀）后，找到與某個問題、觀點或單詞相關的信息，并找到解決問題的可靠依據。閱讀時，快速掃描文章，確定查詢的信息范圍。幸運的是，在四級快速閱讀的測試文章中，有一個明確的標題，可以幫助我們快速鎖定解決問題的范圍。同時，要注意題目中反映的信息的特點。例如，如果問題或填寫的句子涉及到姓名和地名，則主要尋找首字母大寫的單詞；對于日期和數量，主要尋找具體數字；對于某一事件和觀點，您需要找到與此相關的關鍵字，而與查詢信息無關的內容可以一掃而光。
